Mady's class got to go to the park and swimming a couple of days before school got out. Cade, Sadie and I decided to join in on the fun at the park. The kids had a great time. By the way, Mady had all A's on her report card. She also was given the award for the Best Story Writer in her class. She's such a smarty pants. Good Job Mady, Mom and Dad are proud of you!

Mady's 1st "Real" Haircut
Mady has been begging her dad now for the past 3 1/2 years to get her hair cut short with bangs (or tanks, what she called them when she was 3) and dad finally conceded. She loves her new hair cut. Our family friend Traci did an awesome job. She was so excited to go to school the next day and show off her new hairdo. Needless to say some kids had some mean comments on how she looked like a boy. It really burst her bubble, so I helped her with a come back. When the kids told her that she looked like a boy the next day, she laughed and said, "That's crazy, maybe you need to go back to preschool, because even my brother who is only three knows that I look like a girl!" She said that the kids jaws dropped and they looked really embarrassed. That's what you get when your stinkin' cute and no one can argue that fact! Love you Mady Moo!

Well, the kids were watching Nacho Libre about a month ago and I thought I would remind Cade what he was for Halloween when he was 1. Big mistake! I ended up pulling out the costume out of storage and since then it has been a battle nearly every day. He loves wearing his costume inside, outside, to the store or where ever mom will let him. He told me that he likes it because people smile at him. He's been watching the movie so much, he's a little obsessed. The other day he dropped his elbow real hard into a bowl of dry cereal (instead of chips) and also asked me to make some toast for him. I made the toast and he told me to go into the bathroom and comb my hair. Next thing I knew he had put the toast on plates and slid them under the door. I about died laughing. He knows about every line from the movie and is often seen torturing dad with a "neeepple twist".If anybody hasn't seen the movie you are missing out.
